We calculated the following in game:

Thierry: 12
Xene: 9
Tamarie: 8
Kaylee: 7

Thierry has 8 1st level followers, the rest of us have none.

Stability passed, +1BP for 0 Unrest
Hartfell Boon trade for 2BP
Leveton Boon trade for 2BP
Economy 10+34=44, for 8BP
So, net +1BP for Desnus.

We made the Stability rolls, so we'll have +4BP Consumption for Serenith. Here's the Hartfell map:

Desnus

The ground has been plowed and seeded and now the first sprouts and seedlings are greening the fields of the barony.

Stability roll: 15
Economy roll for trade in Hartfell: 12
Economy roll for trade in Leveton: 18
Income Economy check: 10

Event: Swarms of voracious catepillars have spread throughout the barony's farmland; exploding in numbers thanks to the nutritious and abundant non-native crops now being grown throughout the region. A stability check for each farm hex is required as the farmers use a variety of methods to try and safeguard their crops from being ruined. Four farm hexes (rolls: 7, 11, 19 & 14). Success on the Stability check halves the Consumption benefit of the farm (from 2 to 1); failure means that the farm provides no Consumption benefit for the month.

Stability passed, +1BP for 0 Unrest
Hartfell Boon trade for 2BP
Leveton Boon trade for 2BP
Economy 5+34=39, for 7BP
So, net -1BP for Gozran.

Desnus, 4713

Since we're now Size 11, we can build two city improvements in a turn.

Stability roll. (+1BP for 0 Unrest if we succeed.)
If Unrest is greater than 0, -1 Unrest for having an Executioner.
Pay Consumption (2BP)
Build Barracks (4BP) in Hartfell (cost halved for having a Town Hall)
Build Castle Garden (6BP) next to the Aviary
Leadership unchanged.

Yum, stew!

I can bring some bread and cheddar.

Mmm, exploring east could be interesting. We can also go and speak to the Old Belledame about possibly increasing our presence in the forest. Perhaps should would have some insight.

Denis, do you have a larger map of the barony and the surrounding area?

My life has been consumed by tea pots. With luck I might be able to finish my summery of last game and of the time detailed here on the site before the game. At worst this will be a work in progress by game-time.

As to dinner, I have 2L of Irish stout beef stew I can bring along for dinner. It would do well with some bread and cheese.

As to the plans, what about exploring the distance between Hartfell and the river to the north (the crooked river?); specifically the Sootscale's hex, the hex containing Nettle's crossing (the other side of that river), etc. Having this region explored might help ease the delivery of goods between Fort Serenko and Hartfell.

Here's the map of Hartfell as of Calistril, 4713.

We need to settle something important. The woodcutters and woodworkers are getting increasingly agitated by the lack of support for their operations, namely roads and patrols into the Margreve. They'd like us to establish a camp near the Skunk River Ford to make things easier on them.

We're getting to the point where we have to buck up and start moving into the Margreve. How do we go about this? We're already using materials from the forest anyway, but this would enlarge the operation. I'd like the input of those more connected to the wild places. We're still not much closer to knowing what's at stake, but at the same time, we have to start somewhere.

Pharast

Enjoying the nice weather, some intrepid souls venture our onto Tuskwater lake to try their hand at ice fishing.

Tamarie is fond of sedate. It keeps her gray hairs in check.

Rather overdue that we get a Smithy established. It'll be over in the noisy/smelly quarter with the Tannery, Dump and Butchery. (I'll make an up to date city map when I get home.)

Stability roll. (+1BP for 0 Unrest if we succeed.)
If Unrest is greater than 0, -1 Unrest for having an Executioner.
Pay Consumption (2BP)
Build Smithy (6BP) in Hartfell

That harkens back to the story that Oleg told me. I think its entirely possible. Moreover, with all these new faces we can't keep track of, its darned well likely.

But you've already circumnavigated Tuskwater lake.

Level + Charisma bonus as a base +2 for having a base of operations.

In addition:
Thierry is greatly renown (+2) for his fairness and generosity (+1).
Xene is renown (+1) for her divine power (+1)
Tamarie is renown (+1) for her arcane power (+1)
Kaylee is renown (+1) for her strength and horsemanship.

Kaylee likely makes do on her rounds with a rotating lot of drafted militiamen working off their taxes. She'll need a bit more clout before she attracts dedicated followers. In the meantime, feel free to give a handful of such militiamen names if you like.

Remember the former priest of Erastil who had become a bear? What if the Old Margeve has the power to turn men into beasts? What if… the forest slowly took over some of the former colonists and they are now wolves? Wolves that think like men, and can take on the skins of men to infiltrate the settlement?

I love the idea, but Kaylee…her charisma ain't so grand and if she has no help…thats an awful lot of land to patrol on her own. Just sayin'…

I was just doing a recap of our options. :)

Then perhaps as Robyn proposes, exploring the shores of the Tuskwater would be a good start to give us a better idea of our southern border.
